Uber Cup: India Move to Quarterfinal After Defeating USA

Uber Cup India:  The Indian women’s badminton team advanced to the Uber Cup Final. After thrashing the United States 4-1 in a lopsided Group D encounter on Tuesday.

India, who had defeated Canada 4-1 in their first match. Also Won their second match in a row to secure a place in the top two spots in their group and go to the quarterfinals.

Uber Cup India: Indian Women Team Defeated USA by 4-1

PV Sindhu won 21-10, 21-11 over Jennie Gai, Tanisha Crasto and Treesa Jolly won 21-19, 21-10. Over Francesca Corbett and Allidon Lee in doubles, and Aakashi Kashyap beat Esther Shi 21-18, 21-11 to give India a 3-0 lead.

Simran Singhi and Ritika Thaker, a young doubles combination, hence were defeated 12-21, 21-17, 13-21 by Laurem Lam and Kodi Tang Lee to save some pride for the United States.

In the final match, Ashmita Chaliha defeated Natalie Chi 21-18, 21-13 to win the match. Uber Cup India

The Indian women’s team, which has previously won two bronze medals. Also will play Korea in their last group match on Wednesday.

The Indian men’s team qualified for the knockout stage as well after finishing first and second in their group.
