Rajasthan Royals IPL Team 2022: Auction Updates
Rajasthan Royals were eager to buys fresh and big players since were having rough patch from the past 2 seasons.
They have made quite changes right from Squad to the Captains but results were still the same.
Players retained were Sanju Samson, Jos Butler and Yashasvi Jaiswal before going at the auction.
Rajasthan’s most expensive player was Indian fast bowler Prasidh Krishna at INR 10 crore, followed by Simron Hetmyer at INR 8.5 crore & Trent Boult at INR 8 crore.
Star players Devdutt Padikkal and Yuzvendra Chahal who part of Royal Challengers Bangalore Franchise last season purchased by RR at INR 7.75 crore & INR 6.50 crore respectively.
Ravichandra Ashwin India’s best Right Handed Off spinner was priced at INR 5 crore.
England’s fast bowler Jofra Archer would be missed as RR didnt’ retain him due to commitment issues in upcoming season. However, Mumbai Indians did bid for Jofra Archer looking as a long term investment.
RR had a very good auction as they focused & bidded quality players targeting all three departments Batting, Bowling and All Rounders. Royals spent Rs 89.05 crores and bidded for 24 players during the 2 days of IPL Mega Auction.
