Lucknow Super Giants is one of the new Franchises to be part of Indian Premier League 2022. Sanjeev Goenka RPSG group owns the LSG team and is the most expensive team in IPL history as they bid of over INR 7,090 crore to get the Franchise rights.
Captain KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi were the players retained.
In the Auction they bought some heavy weight players like South African wicket keeper Quintin de Kock for 6.75 crore, Indian Batsmen Manish Pandey for 4.60 crore, West Indies All rounder Jason Holder for 5.65 crore.
From the bowling department Left handed spinner Krunal Pandya for 8.25 crore, England fast bowler Mark Wood for 7.5 crore and the most expensive uncapped Indian Fast bowler Avesh Khan for 10 crore.
Lucknow Super Giants team have great strength in their Batting and Bowling as they have strong players in each department to fill these shoes. Only weakness they could face is lack of experienced Indian Players Manish Pandey and Manan Vohra who had a rough past season.
