Jasprit Bumrah had a wonderful experience when he entered the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham wearing the India blazer for the toss. In the fifth Test against England, Jasprit Jasprit Bumrah will serve as the captain after Rohit Sharma tested positive for COVID-19. Since Kapil Dev, Jasprit Bumrah is the first fast bowler to represent India in Test cricket.
But Mark Butcher, a former England batter who is now a member of the broadcast team and was in charge of the toss, welcomed Bumrah and offered him his congratulations, saying, “Congratulations! We don’t have quick bowlers as skippers very frequently, but it has never happened with India.”

Butcher was quickly corrected by the Indian captain, who added, “Well, it has occurred before, Kapil Dev was the captain.”
Butcher made the decision to defend his position and argued that Kapil Dev was an all-around player. All fine, all-rounder if you say so, Bumrah stated after deciding not to continue the discussion.
Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara made some quick runs early in the game for India, but their adversary, the 39-year-old James Anderson, recovered and dismissed Gill for 17.
