The day before the contest, captain Harmanpreet Kaur spoke with the media virtually about the team’s preparation.
Harmanpreet responded to a query of playing Australia at a virtual press conference on Thursday by saying. “I believe we have consistently performed better everytime we have had the opportunity to play against them” (Australia). We are becoming accustomed to these circumstances, but because we have a morning game the following day, we are still debating attending the opening ceremony. If everything goes as planned, we’ll definitely be at the opening ceremony.
