During their talk, Shaheen expressed his hope that Indian ace batsman Virat Kohli will return his form.
In preparation for the India vs. Pakistan Asia Cup 2022 match, players from both teams have been interacting with one another during practice sessions at the ICC Cricket Academy. On Thursday, players Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Yuzvendra Chahal, and KL Rahul spoke with the injured Shaheen Afridi. During their talk, Shaheen expressed his hope that Indian ace batsman Virat Kohli will return his form.
Since scoring his most recent century in a day-night Test against Bangladesh in 2019, Kohli has not passed the three-figure mark. The right-handed batter failed to score even fifty runs against England in the multi-format series this year.
Speaking first, Kohli addressed the Pakistani pacer before turning to Shaheen. We are praying that your form comes back, Shaheen was heard saying, and then “Aapke lie dua kar rahe hai aap wapis form me aaye.”

Shaheen and the India batsman shook hands after that, and Kohli could be seen beaming.
Due to a knee injury sustained during the Sri Lanka tour, Afridi will not participate in the match. He is a part of the squad, nevertheless, and is currently in the United Arab Emirates, where all of the teams are rehearsing in order to compete.
Images and videos of players from other teams connecting with one another have proliferated on social media.
Fans had praised a previous video of Kohli shaking hands with Pakistan captain Babar Azam very highly.
