Shadab Khan took full responsibility for the outcome and offered an apology on Twitter for the missed catches during the campaign.
Pakistan’s all-rounder Shadab Khan has so admitted entire responsibility for his team’s loss to Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2022 final on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium. So Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan on Sunday by a score of 23 runs to claim their sixth Asia Cup title. Sri Lanka was led by Dasun Shanaka. After the loss, Shadab apologized on Twitter for the dropped receptions in the game and accepted full accountability for the result.

In the final match against Sri Lanka, Shadab dropped two catches. One of which was subsequently struck for a six in the penultimate over.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa’s unbroken 71-run performance during the final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka allowed the team accumulate 170 runs despite the score being 58/5 at one stage.
