A Sri Lanka Cricket statement read, “He was found to be positive during an Antigen test conducted on the player yesterday morning, after the player’s complaint of feeling unwell.
“Upon detection, Nissanka was immediately segregated in a different hotel and will follow Covid-19 precautions.”
With Sri Lanka resuming their first innings on 431-6, a lead of 67, play will restart on Monday with Oshada Fernando replacing Nissanka in the lineup.
