Nick Kyrgios is mocked by a former England captain for his tirade at the umpire during Novak Djokovic’s Wimbledon victory.
A woman who Nick Kyrgios claimed was “drunk out of her mind” and talking to him during the match irritated him.
So in four sets, Novak Djokovic defeated Nick Kyrgios to win the 2022 Wimbledon championship. The now seven-time Wimbledon winner overcame a set deficit to triumph 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, and 7-6 (7/3). So Kyrgios complained to the umpire several times throughout the match about spectators’ distractions. A woman who he claimed was “drunk out of her mind” and talking to him during the game greatly enraged him. When asked if he knew who in the crowd was causing the interruptions, umpire Renaud Lichtenstein responded, “It’s the woman that looks like she’s had 700 drinks, bro.”
Michael Vaughan, a former England captain, made fun of the event on Twitter.
In response to Kyrgios calling the umpire “bro,” Vaughan tweeted, using the hashtag “#Bro,” “I want to meet the girl who has had 700 drinks.”

Sachin Tendulkar, a great Indian batter, also sent a humorous tweet about Kyrgios.
He wrote, “I know summer is getting warm in London, but not as warm as @NickKyrgios’ head.”
“What a performer! a joy to watch him, “Added he.
I know summer is getting hot in London but not as hot as @NickKyrgios’ head.
What an entertainer! Fun to watch him.#Wimbledon https://t.co/BtQ6qdMoCU

When a protester shouted “Where is Peng Shuai?” in reference to the well-being of the Chinese women’s tennis star, the game had already been halted.
Kyrgios persisted in arguing with himself and his supporters as Djokovic easily won the match, clinching the championship with a commanding tiebreak.
