On MS Dhoni’s birthday, a Pakistani pacer made this request, calling him “an inspiration.”
MS Dhoni, who ended his career as an international cricket player in 2020, is still playing in the IPL. He last participated with Chennai Super Kings in the tournament’s 15th season this year.
On Thursday, July 7, former India captain MS Dhoni celebrated his 41st birthday. On the occasion of MS Dhoni’s birthday, players from outside of India also used social media to wish the former India star. These players included Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Suresh Raina. The tweet from Pakistani pacer Shahnawaz Dahani stood out among the numerous others sent from outside. The Pakistani pacer’s tweet on his “inspiration and role model” Dhoni received praise online for the way it was skillfully written down.
Dahani wished Dhoni a happy birthday and referred to him as “one of the all-time great entertainers and finishers” in a social media post. In the meantime, Dahani urged Dhoni to continue playing cricket “for at least (sic) few more years” rather than calling it quits.
Danani penned: “Happy birthday, sir @msdhoni, to one of history’s greatest entertainers and finishers, an inspiration, and a role model. And since you are still youthful and physically capable of playing cricket, sir, kindly continue to amuse us for at least a few more years.”

Dhoni, who ended his career in international cricket in 2020, is still playing in the IPL. He last participated with Chennai Super Kings in the tournament’s 15th season this year. It is important to note that Dhoni retired as one of India’s most successful leaders. He is still the only captain to have won the T20 World Cup (2007), ODI World Cup (2011), and Champions Trophy in limited-overs competition (2013).
