IPL Franchise Rajasthan Royals appoints Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga as the fast bowling coach.
Lasith Malinga one of the key players in the Mumbai Indians camp retired from IPL last year. It would be first time he would me mentoring for RR as a coach in the tournament.
The pacer known for this death overs yorker would be very helpful for the Rajasthan Royals. He would be beneficial for bowlers like Navdeep Saini, Prasidh Krishna, Nathan Counternile, Trent Boult and Obed McCoy.

The bowling lineup of RR looks strong and adding Malinga as head coach would even help them more. Under the likes of spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal the spinning department looks complete. As a combination of fast bowlers and spinners Rajasthan Royals had a very good IPL auction.
Malinga who retired in IPL last year is is still the highest wicket taker in the IPL with 170 wickets. He played the entire IPL under Mumbai Indians franchise.
Kumar Sangakkara former Srilankan captain is the head coach & would be assisted by Steffan Jones and Lasith Malinga would be the bowling coach.
