Root, who hit a century in the first innings for Yorkshire, dismissed for four runs in the second.
Yorkshire dismissed for 379 in reply to Lancashire’s enormous first-innings score of 566/9. This certainly gave Lancashire the upper hand in the contest.
Yorkshire scored 169/6 after that, and the match ended in a draw.
Anderson only took one wicket in the first innings but had two in the second.
