“It Feels Like A Match Day On A Non-Match Day”: Team India Trains In Cuttack’s Packed Stadium. Check out the images
Team India held a training session in Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium. On the eve of the second T20 International against South Africa. The throng in the photos seems like it’s from a practice session before the toss on match day. But Cuttack’s excitement was so high that fans flocked in just for the training session. After hosting an ODI between India and the West Indies in 2019, international cricket will return to Barabati Stadium on Sunday.
The official profile of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared photos from the training session on social media, writing: “On a non-match day, it seems like match day. Here in Cuttack, a packed crowd has gathered to see #TeamIndia train.”

India is coming off a loss in the first T20I series. As South Africa chased down 212 with seven wickets to spare.
As India reached a total of 211/4, Ishan Kishan smashed 76 off 48 deliveries and was well supported by Hardik Pandya (31 off 12), Rishabh Pant (29 off 16), and Shreyas Iyer (36 off 27). Ruturaj Gaikwad, the game’s first batter, also contributed with 23 off 15 pitches.
However, David Miller (64 off 31) and Rassie van der Dussen (75 off 46) both bowled brilliantly to aid South Africa’s mammoth run chase.
