Batting first Lucknow Super Giants LSG didn’t have the best of starts, LSG captain KL Rahul was dismissed in the first ball of the match by Indian pacer Mohammed Shami. From there on Shami didn’t stop he went on to pick a couple of more wickets of Quinton De Kock and Manish Pandey. Shami picked up 3 wickets giving away 25 runs in the match.
Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni were players who stood up for Lucknow Super Giants both playing a crucial knock-in match. Deepak scored 55 runs in 41 balls and Ayush Badoni 18 year young player playing his Debut IPL match scored 54 runs in 41 balls.
Gujarat Titans Winning Innings
Shubman Gill dismissed cheaply in the first over of the match, followed by Vijay Shankar both dismissed by Sri Lankan pacer Dushmantha Chameera. Matthew Wade and Hardik Pandya played vital knocks, but the stand-out knock was played by Rahul Tewatia. Rahul stayed till the end scoring 40 runs in 24 balls smashing 2 sixes.
At one time it felt Gujarat Titans were out of the game, but Rahul Tewatia along with David Miller and Abhinav Manohar made sure they finish their Debut Franchise game with a win.
