During the match against Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB’s) batter Virat Kohli made a special gesture to his wife, Anushka Sharma, after taking Rishabh Pant’s catch on Saturday. The match played at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The former RCB skipper took a brilliant one-handed catch to dismiss Pant, putting his team in the winning position in the IPL 2022 match against DC.
Pant scored 34 runs off 17 balls before getting dismissed off Mohammed Siraj’s bowling. The DC skipped tried to smash the third ball of the 17 over, but mistimed the shot as the ball hit the bottom of his bat. Kohli timed his jump to perfection and grabbed the ball with one hand.
After taking the catch, Virat Kohli waved toward Anushka. The video of the incident soon went viral.

RCB defeated DC by 16 runs. Batting first, RCB scored 189 runs owing to some brilliant batting performance by Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik. Maxwell scored 55 runs off 34 balls, while Karthik smashed 66 runs after playing the same number of balls. With the bat, Kohli failed to make a big score. He got dismiss on 12 runs.
Delhi Capitals managed to score only 173 runs in 20 overs with the loss of seven wickets. David Warner scored 66 runs off 38 balls. Explosive batter Prithvi Shaw made only 16 runs. Dinesh Karthik was declared man of the match. RCB moved to the third spot after defeating Delhi Capitals.
