The Indian hockey team put up a masterful effort to defeat Indonesia 16-0 and earn a spot in the Super 4s of the 2022 Men’s Asia Cup Hockey 2022.

The rout not only ensured India’s place in the tournament’s final round, but also effectively eliminated Pakistan.

Pakistan had earlier in the day lost 2-3 against Japan. This was India’s first win in the ongoing Asia Cup Hockey 2022, after a 1-1 tie with Pakistan and a 2-5 loss to Japan, who finished first in Pool A. Japan won all three of its pool matches.
