Virat Kohli hasn’t scored a century in international cricket since November of this year.
Virat Kohli had a bad run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 and hasn’t scored a century in international cricket since November 2019. Legendary India captain Mohammad Azharuddin, on the other hand, has encouraged the star batter, claiming that all he needs is one massive score to regain his confidence. He also stated that, given the high standard Kohli has set for himself in the past with his achievements, even a half-century off his bat is regarded as a poor performance.
“What happens with Virat Kohli is that even if he gets a 50, people think he failed,” Azharuddin was reported as saying to reporters in Dubai by Khaleej Times.
“Every cricketer, I believe, has experienced this. Even the top players have had to deal with these dry spells “‘ Then he went on to say,’ he said.
“There isn’t anything wrong with his approach. You may also require a little bit of luck from time to time “Azharuddin expressed his thoughts.
“If he scores one big score, a big hundred,” he asserted, “the aggression and the confidence will return.”
Virat Kohli will miss India’s next five-match T20 International (T20I) series against South Africa and will return in July for a one-off Test against England.
Kohli scored 341 runs in 16 matches in IPL 2022, with a strike rate of 115.99. As Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were knocked out in Qualifier 2 by Rajasthan Royals, he scored just two half-centuries and failed to fire in the play-offs.
