Daniel Vettori hire as an assistant to Australian cricket coach Andrew McDonald on Tuesday. With McDonald praising the former New Zealand captain’s knowledge and experience.
Daniel Vettori is new Australian Assistant Coach
Vettori, an all-rounder, represented New Zealand in 113 Tests and 295 one-day internationals. Also worked with McDonald at Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. In England’s The Hundred, he will remain the head coach of the Birmingham Phoenix. “It’s a very powerful and united group,” Vettori said of the Australian team.
Andre Borovec of Victoria, who has accompanied the national team on select trips over the last year. He promoted to assistant coach and will lead Australia A in Sri Lanka next month. Ahead of the national team’s two-Test series there.
