CSK star Ambati Rayudu deleted a tweet saying that the current IPL 2022 season will be his “last IPL.”
Ambati Rayudu Twitter Handle Hacked
Ambati Rayudu caused a stir on Saturday when he said that the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 will be his final season. The experienced batter’s tweet sent at 12:46 p.m., but it deleted almost an hour later. It caused much debate about whether the current edition was indeed Rayudu’s “last IPL,” as he said in his now-deleted Tweet. Rayudu has scored 271 runs at an average of 27.10 in 12 IPL 2022 matches.
Ambati Rayudu Later Confirmed the Fake News
Rayudu was purchased for INR 6.75 crore by CSK in the IPL 2022 auction, but he has struggled to establish consistency this season. Later CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan also clarified the news he is not retiring
Rayudu, after Ruturaj Gaikwad (313 runs) and Shivam Dube, is CSK’s third-highest run-scorer this season (289 runs).
